You might as well as get use to it. Managers are all ages, do not get mad if someone went to school. Experience is valuable but most employers want to see the piece of paper.

I am loving your website you cover a lot of the same topics I cover. Equal pay should be automatic if all conditions are the same.

Great blog you have here. Lots of blogs like yours cover subjects that can't be found in magazines and newspapers. I don't know how we got on 15 years ago with just print media.

There are some good suggestions in this article. I would add that creating a foundation of clarity around one's core values, vision for life and career, and personal brand allows someone to come from a centered, clear place. Then we shift perspective to realize that we have choices in EVERY situation, and if we choose to act in contradiction to our values, vision and who we are, it never feels right. Opening our mind to how we want to play in work and life, and recognizing how it fits into our foundation, releases us from the victim mentality and allows us to start operating from a more empowered space.

I would like to express my thanks to this writer just for rescuing me from this setting. As a result of surfing around throughout the the net and coming across advice which were not powerful, I assumed my life was done. Being alive devoid of the approaches to the issues you have fixed as a result of your good site is a crucial case, and ones that could have in a negative way affected my entire career if I had not encountered your web page. Your own personal knowledge and kindness in playing with all things was important. I'm not sure what I would've done if I hadn't come across such a step like this. I can also now relish my future. Thank you very much for this specialized and results-oriented help. I won't be reluctant to propose the website to anybody who wants and needs recommendations on this subject.|

How about an executive director scheduling a phone interview and not calling me because - it turned out - he was in Alaska out of cell phone reach, and he'd already hired someone else?

Great post and thanks for the focus on this problem--the more it is highlighted the better. I hope all women will begin to explore their role in this. Best place to begin to explore is looking back at your relationship with your mother and other female caretakers--this is where we learn how to build relationships. Did you have a bossy, controlling mom or a pleaser mom, who never stood up for herself. When you look at this, you'll begin to learn more about your behavior. It's tough to look in the mirror, the more we model that for others, the more self-aware we'll all become.
